“WHAT FOLLOWS A MAN WITHOUT LOVE” a poem Sept. 12, 2019 (Thor’s)

A man (or woman) I think without LOVE is pretty lonely,

And (s)he will be seeking for love perhaps only,

FOREVER I THINK because I think LOVE IS PRETTY IMPORTANT,

And without love PROBABLY a person art n’t,

BE going around saying (that) they have much of a life,

IF they are without a loving husband or children or a happy wife.

For really without love who are you? What have you done?

WITHOUT LOVE AND AFFECTION, I AM NOT SURE YOU CAN HAVE

MUCH FUN.

So (back to the question) WHAT FOLLOWS “A MAN WITHOUT LOVE?”

I THINK it’s loneliness and sorrow (s)he’ll be dreaming of.

BUT Just the other day “A Man Without Love” was on the TV playing,

Echoing its sad refrain, as the fabric of lonely existence was gently fraying,

And, when that song finally finished, when it finally had run all the way through,

What FOLLOWED was “Something Stupid, Like I Love You.”
