“THE SEEKERS” a poem in 3 parts, Part 1: “In Bed, Already.” September 28, 2019 (Saturday)
What should I expect, when I’m not sure what I want?
What might we find (if we go on) such an incredible hunt?
We think we’ll discover or uncover something to make our own,
But, in the end,
Will we be alone?
I think The Garden of Eden is, perhaps, in my bed.
It is there perhaps I’ll find you;
I’d like to rest my head,
On your shoulder, and lie close, nestled by your side,
Covered and warm; it’s THERE I (think I) could abide.
In my life, perhaps, I’m SEEKING to get back to THIS garden,
But aren’t you here ALREADY?
Why am I a start[d]in’,
To feel restless or in need of getting up,
From our warm bed and my Lover,
On which I often sup?
