“THERE WE ARE.” a poem for: Thursday December 5, 2019.
Well, there’s M & J, “The Button” and “Jack;”
We got each other; we ain’t goin’ back.
We ain’t goin’ forward; we’re goin’ around,
And IntoEachOthers’Arms is where we’re bound. (pause)
Whether we’re resting, BLUE RED or (in the) PINK,
Whether we’re SWEET or (you know) kinda STINK,
We got each other, sideways and down;
Up with BRIGHT SMILES; down with a frown. (pause)
Kissing and cuddling, holding on for Dear Life;
I am your hubbie; you are my wife,
And The World revolves or at least it appears,
To do so, amidst our laughter and tears,
But, for better or worse, I LOVE YOU A LOT,
And it’s in your eyes I love to be caught.
