Growin’ up in rural parts and livin’ “Hill e billy,”
Uncle Ede lived 100 + (years) , and he was mighty silly,

BUT he had great wisdom, he did to flourish and stay alive:
“Sweat a lot in summer,” He said; “it’s a good way to thrive,
AND have lots of colds in The Winter, but keep on goin’ still;
Don’t rest too much in bed or hurt your head,

By poppin’ any pill.
JUST SWEAT A LOT WHEN SWEATIN’s GOOD,
AND, IN WINTER, WELL YOU KNOW YOU WOULD,

SWEAT THEN TOO, BUT IT’S PRETTY COLD,
SO, JUST STAY KIND OF SICK, AND DO AS YOU’RE TOLD.
Eat lots of soup; go for a frequent poop,
And get out of The House and play hula hoop;
fin ♥
