“SALVATION?” a poem October 14, 2019 (Monday)

The Way of The Christian,

The Way of The Christian,

is: FIND SOMEONE WHOM YOU MIGHT “SAVE;”

It might be a “booze-y’ or a Fluzzie Suzi or maybe Beloved ol’ Dave.

It might be: KIM,

Or “Catholic Jim,”

Or Brian, all down in the mouth;

You might “save ’em” when,

You “tickle their fancy,” or

Go down on them “Way Down South.”

And, I think you might find IF you’re in a bind,

That: SAVING THEM SAVES YOU AS WELL,

And, suddenly, this place is Heaven, forYOU, ratherThanThe9thCircleO’H LL.

Some, “gird up your loins,” and chew on some gristle,

Or cook you some tea with delightful milk thistle,

And serve it to strangers, who might come to your house;

TheyCouldBeAngelsInDisguise OR Save you a mouse,

Or a tree or a cat, who is feral and unclean,

For: A WONDERFUL, CHRISTIAN LIFE, like you’ve never seen.
