Similarly, decadent pre-Lenten treats include pa̡czki, fruit-filled deep-fried pastries similar to doughnuts enjoyed in Poland and in ethnic Polish communities in the United States. An iconic part of Mardi Gras(“Fat Tuesday”) in New Orleans is the king cake, an iced ring-shaped pastry sprinkled with gold, green, and purple sugar and typically contains a plastic figurine representing the baby Jesus. Traditionally, the person who receives the piece of king cake containing the figurine is named “king” or “queen” of the Mardi Gras festivities and is obligated to host the next party of the season.

By My Holy Face, they will work wonders and appease the anger of God and draw down mercy on sinners.

As in a kingdom, they can procure all that is desired with a coin
stamped with the King’s effigy, so, in the Kingdom of Heaven, they will
obtain all they desire with the precious coin of My Holy Face.

Individuals who, in their earthly existence, reflect on the intricate details of the Wounds on My Face shall attain a state of divine brilliance in the realm of Divinity.

The souls exist in a form reflective of their essence; O My countenance, they are luminous and will perpetually emit a brilliance characterized by the unique and fluctuating qualities of My divine realm. Observe it, resplendent with celestial glory.
