In the depths of our hearts, there lies a strife,
The struggle between darkness and the essence of life.
Eager to rise, yet bound by the chain,
Yearning for goodness, we feel only the pain.
The good we desire, like whispers in the night,
Fades into shadows, evading our sight.
Oh, the battle within, a relentless refrain,
Where sin, like a thief, steals joy and leaves only disdain.
In moments of weakness, we bow, and we fall,
Caught in the tempest, we heed the dark call.
Yet in this despair, a glimmer remains,
The grace that awakens, the hope that sustains.
For Christ, in His mercy, reaches down from above,
With arms vast as oceans, He offers His love.
In surrender, we find the strength to reclaim,
The life that was lost ignited the flame.
So we cling to the promise, repeating the truth,
Harnessing grace like a heavenly sleuth.
With each prayer, a stitch in the fabric we weave,
A tapestry of redemption, in faith we believe.
The journey is fraught with temptations and falls,
Yet grace is our anchor forever. It calls.
“Miserable one that I am!” we cry in despair,
But thanks be to God, for His love is our care.
So let the beads roll, let the prayers ascend,
In Christ’s gentle embrace, our wounds start to mend.
For the good, the bad, and the grace intertwine,
And through every struggle, His love is the sign.
"Jesus, I joyfully surrender everything to You! I trust in Your loving care, knowing You will handle all my needs. Thank you for being my guiding light!"
