Bring Us Back to the Light
Take me back to a time of simplicity,
Before the hands of man altered the Earth;
When nature reigned unchallenged and free,
And serenity defined our worth.
Take me back to a time of peace,
Long before the drums of war sounded;
When birds soared high in the open skies,
And in clear waters, fish gracefully bounded.
Oh, how our world has transformed,
With the rise of humanity’s demands,
We’ve taken what once belonged to the birds
The fish, and each inch of our lands.
We’ve drawn weapons against one another,
With bombs and guns, we wreaked our fate,
Sacrificing kin for power’s allure,
To conquer lands and dictate their state.
We crafted our cars, planes, and trains,
Paving our way, leaving scars in our wake;
Clearing forests, ravaging the plains,
While the Earth cries out from the choices we make.
Will we drain this planet of all its grace?
Or will we choose to change our ways today?
Shall we destroy the world we’ve known,
Or embrace a new path, come what may?
Let’s set aside our differences,
Unite in this crucial fight;
To cherish and safeguard our precious home,
And strive together to return to the Light.
