A metal detector enthusiast, Charlie Clarke, uncovered a stunning Tudor gold pendant in Warwickshire, UK, associated with King Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon.
The heart-shaped pendant, dating from the early 16th century, features a red and white Tudor rose entwined with a pomegranate bush, symbolising Henry and Katherine.
The reverse side has the letters “H” and “K” linked by a ribbon.
This find, reported to authorities under the Treasure Act of 1996, highlights the role of metal-detecting in enhancing our understanding of history, with the British Museum and Historic England involved in its preservation and analysis..
