
AceBreakingNews – A fast-moving grass fire burning near Emerald in central Queensland has sparked the highest level of emergency warning for nearby residents.

Several homes and structures are under threat, with properties along Selma Road between Emerald and Fairbairn Dam Road at risk.
Residents are being advised to leave immediately as it could soon be too dangerous to drive.
The fire first started burning around 11:30am Sunday.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) said two fixed-wing aircraft were helping firefighting efforts.

Meanwhile, a fast-moving fire that broke containment lines in the Glass House Mountains National Park has been downgraded to advice with no properties currently at risk.
QFES urged those on and around Mawsons Road and Holt Road in Beerwah to activate bushfire survival plans.
As of 5:20pm Sunday afternoon, QFES said residents were being urged to stay alert.
Around 20 fire crews were working to contain the blaze, with aircraft assisting ground crews with water bombing.
