The Lesson ~

“THE LESSON.” a poem November 30, 2019 (last day: Saturday)

She says (that) SHE’S GOT LEARNING TO DO, but I think NOT,

For She’s learned “The Lesson of Eternity,” for She’s no longer caught,

In exotic notions of: Multiple Lives and Heaven and Hell,

And thingsTHEYSay: “You’ve got to study,”

And She knows all too well,

We are neither born NOR do we die;

We’re always dancing and kissing the sky.

We can transcend gravity, distances and remorse,

Without any seminars or “advanced” spiritual course.

Of course, all things are proper if done with love in our bed,

And, in a mild disagreement between The Heart and The Head,

She knows that THE HEART IS THE GUIDE of GUIDES,

BUT The head’s good too. and LOVE ABIDES,

IN THE SMALLEST KINDNESS, IN A PLEASANT, WARM SMILE,

(And) IN A JIHAD EXECUTION, WITH PRECISE, MILITARY STYLE,

And THE LION & THE LAMB WILL LAY DOWN IN LOVE,

WHEN GIVEN LOVING GUIDANCE, and My Love is dreaming of:

Eternity EACH NIGHT, as we stroke and cuddle,

And Love can come from a slap or be very subtle.

So, I think She’s learned all the lessons She ever really needs.
