Suicidal lust or Love ~

“SUICIDAL LOVE?” a poem a.k.a.: “What Do I Know?” for: September 27, 2019 (FRIDAY)

The CHANCE YOU TAKE when LOVE comes CLOSE,

Is: “It’s simply liable to KILL YOU, with a lethal dose,

Of ‘this or that fine potion’ mixedIn with your [regular] drink.”

It’s LOVE’S AMBROSIA, Honey Pie; ofThat whatDoYouThink?

Well, I think:

LOVE IS SUICIDE, no wonder there are SECOND THOUGHTS,

And 3rd and 4th, forevermore; WHO CARES? I got (me) THE HOTS.

True Love, as we ALL know, comes from The Element of Fire,

And FIRE when it burns a lot caNprovide a Funeral Pyre.

But, NOW don’t we have examples where THOSE IMBUED WITH LOVE,

Just withstand “the awful heat?”

LikeInAfurnace? where The Angel of,

THE LORD, whoForever is GUARDING LOVERS WHO ARE TRUE,

Like Shadrach, Meshach & Abednago,* NOWencounters The Likes of YOU,

Laughing there, amidst the flames, proclaiming: “I’m ALL RIGHT;

I GAVE IT UP ALL FOR LOVE I HAVEN’T THE WILL TO FIGHT.”

Even though it’s SUICIDE, do True Lovers care much now,

WHEN THEY’RE SO IN LOVE andStillALIVE. TheySeemToBe Alive? Somehow.

“I’m SO alive (that) THE FIRE CAN’T BURN ANY PART OF ME,

Because I’m hotter than the flames, soaked in this IN SANITY.”

Moral: When rationality is alone, it’s comfy as can be,

But, when it meets PURE LOVE INSANE, it quivers grate ful ly,

And will easilyAgree to suicide as the only way to go,

Then itStandsAround, AS THE FIRES BURN,

And says: “What Do I Know?”
