“Start WITHOUT ME,” (S)heCalledLastNight, but I was not really sure JUST HOW.
I lived quite listlessly before(S)heCame, so, I scratched my little brow,
And thought: “Now, is there ANYTHING of ANY VALUE (that) I’d start,
Without My Sweetie here with me?” “NO,” said my Little Heart;

“If WE’re to do “anythingsWeLike,” without him/her being (a) part,
They’d become things we didn’t care to do, going from sweet to tart;
Favorite things would lose their flavor!”
So, I RESPONDED. This, I gave [him] GAVEher:
A LITTLE TEXT, to say: “I’ll wait because I’m missing you,
And I don’t really want to start anything because, My Love, I’m blue,
Without your here. (pause) I WANNA DO THE HAPPIEST THING I KNOW,
Which is: ‘Doing ANYTHING WITH YOU;’
I’ll just wait here, kind of ‘low,’
And bide my time, ’til you get here. Perhaps, I’ll write a poem!”
O. M. G. THAT IS what I did, waiting for YOU to get HOME.
And, when [S]HE made it back to me, I read just what I’d wrote,
And[S]He criedAlittle and then said: “I love you,” andWeBothBeganToFloat,
‘Cause:
“HOPE SPRINGS FORTH ETERNALLY, WHEN YOU ARE HERE WITH ME,
and HOPE ALLOWS US BOTH TO FLOAT,
SEE?”
