I want to be a shield that surrounds you so that nothing can harm you.
Whenever someone throws a stone at you, it hurts me too. Whenever someone points an arrow at you, it pierces me. Whenever rain showers down on you, I bring you an umbrella. Whenever a storm appears at your door, I hold you close enough so you don’t have to face it alone.
And you love me so profoundly that it silences every voice that tries to hurt me. Your love is gentle enough to help me navigate the hardest of paths.
