And hereby we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments.
The best way to show our love for God is to obey Him. When we are walking in step with God, we ourselves are assured of our relationship with Him, and others also see what a life lived in communion with God looks like. But when we ignore God and follow our own way, we not only hurt our witness to others, but we invite doubt into our own minds.
Lord, thank You for revealing Yourself in Jesus and calling me into a relationship with You. It is a joy to know You and to have the assurance of being known by You. Help me to walk in obedience, that I may live each day in the knowledge of You and that others may know that I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen.
