An unnamed photographer captured these Linotype operators at work at an unidentified Mobile newspaper during the Great Depression. It could be one of three locations: the Mobile Register at the southeast corner of St. Joseph and St. Michael streets from 1929 to 1932; the Mobile Press at the northeast corner of Jackson and St. Michael streets from 1929 to 1934; or the merged Mobile Press Register at the northwest corner of St. Louis and Hamilton streets from 1934 to 1944.
