Peace Poem
If God made the whole world,
Don’t you find it rather odd
All the people in each nation
Aren’t they a part of his creation?
And if we’re all divinely wrought,
I understand the importance of
Being acceptable to God,
And it’s natural to want to feel that acceptance.
Let’s work together to find ways to meet His standards that resonate with you.
Or that really would be odd.
And wouldn’t we be better paid
In taking care of what’s been made?
Because if I were God,
I’d be pretty cross,
That we thought us, not Her, was Boss.
And if that’s wrong, and there is no God,
That we harm the world beyond repair
For something that isn’t even there?
Religions are all made by men,
As with every word of tongue and pen,
If God is real, then he must be,
Beyond our power to hear and see.
The face of the truth is bright and clear;
It needs neither force nor fear.
Not man nor God can understand
The blood of children on your hand.
