The lymphatic system contains approximately three times more interstitial fluid than the bloodstream and plays a crucial role in waste elimination from the body. However, it remains relatively obscure to many. Dr. C. Samuel West, a recognised lymphologist, has demonstrated that optimal lymphatic flow is essential for delivering oxygen and nutrients to cellular tissues, thus preventing the establishment of a pathological environment. Unlike the circulatory system, which employs the heart as a pump, the lymphatic system lacks intrinsic propulsion mechanisms. It depends on adequate hydration, diaphragmatic breathing, physical movement, and dietary intake of fruits to facilitate lymphatic circulation. If lymphatic drainage is compromised, it can lead to a buildup of toxins within the body, resulting in detrimental health effects.
