Do you really love someone?
How do you
Act toward that person?
Love is more than attraction and more than arousal.
It’s also more than sentimentality, like many of today’s songs suggest.
By this standard, is love dead when the emotion is gone?
No, not at all.
Because love is an action, love is a behaviour.
Over and over again, in the Bible, God commands us to love each other.
And you can’t command an emotion.
You can’t be sad on cue; you can fake it, but you’re not wired for your emotions to change on command.
If love were just an emotion, then God couldn’t command it.
But love is something you do.
It can produce emotion, but love is an action.
The Bible says, “Let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions.”
We can
talk about a good act:
“I love people.”
But do we really love them?
Our love is revealed in how we act toward them.

I couldn’t agree with you more. A lot of people mistake attraction or lust for love but they are certainly different things. Love is much more deeper, not just surface level. And love should be given to all around us, not just those that provide us with something we desire. Fantastic post!

God Says You’re Capable
Have you ever noticed how many people around us, deemed “successful” by the world’s standards, often feel inadequate on the inside? It’s a paradox. You might look at your own life and feel like you’re doing well—sure, you have challenges, but compared to others, you might even feel accomplished. Yet, deep down, you might wrestle with insecurity and self-doubt. Why is that?
We often play old, damaging recordings in our minds—tapes that whisper lies about our worth. They tell you things like, “You don’t matter.” But God says, “Yes, you do!” Those voices might insist, “You’re a loser!” Yet God counters with, “No, you’re not!” Maybe you’ve heard, “You’ll never amount to anything.” To that, God responds, “You are important to me!”
It’s time to hit pause on those old tapes and start believing the truth. Don’t let the distorted reflections caused by peers, partners, or even parents define you. Instead, embrace what God says about you: “I am acceptable. I am lovable. I am valuable. I am forgivable. I am capable!”
So, the question is: who will you choose to believe? The opinions of others or the voice of God? It’s time to choose wisely and affirm your true worth! I believe everyone, Our Father touches our hearts leads you through earth’s embrace, you are not flawed individuals. The day you were born God so loved you that you were created by God as HE ordained your destiny ✨️ to following your dreams and life to be calm ✨️ be at Peace ✌️
Honestly I think Christ is the only one who can bestow such…he can teach us because our conception of love is flawed
