A couple of weeks ago, I found a wallet inside a rental car I was using. It was packed with credit cards and a good amount of cash. It turned out that the owner was celebrating his birthday that very day. I managed to return his wallet to him by mail. A few weeks later, I received this message:
“I can’t express how lucky I feel our paths crossed when they did.
It’s rare for someone to return a wallet, especially with everything still inside.
I’ve probably said it 100 times, but thank you so much!
The world needs more people like you. J
I know you said not to send anything, but I had to cover your expenses, and that $11 looked so lonely.”
