The Island of Feelings: A Story of Love and Time

Once upon a time, on a vibrant island bursting with life and colour, all the feelings danced and played together—Joy, Sadness, Knowledge, and many more, including the ever-radiant Love. One sunny morning, the island was excited as it was announced that it would soon drift below the waves! The news sparked a joyful frenzy as everyone rushed to their beautifully crafted boats, eager to escape.

But Love, with a heart overflowing with hope and warmth, decided to

stay just a little longer, cherishing every delightful moment.

As the island wobbled on the brink of sinking, Love called out for help, a bright smile lighting the way. First came Richness, sailing by in a dazzling boat, shimmering with treasures galore. “Richness, will you take me along for the adventure?” Love asked, eyes sparkling with excitement. Richness, though charming, gently declined, saying, “Oh, Love! My boat is filled to the brim with gold and silver. There’s simply no room for you, dear friend!”

Next swirled Vanity, gliding past in a stunning vessel that twinkled in the sunshine. “Vanity, please, I need your help!” Love called cheerfully. But Vanity replied with a playful sigh, “Oh no, Love! You’re all wet! I’m afraid you might spoil my gorgeous boat!” Undaunted, Love glanced around and spotted Sadness nearby. “Sadness, come, let me join you!” Love urged, heart full of compassion. Sadness sighed softly, “Oh, Love, I’m feeling down today. I need to be alone right now.”

When it seemed like all hope was waning, a gentle voice sang, “Come, Love! I’ll take you with me!” It was a kind, wise elder, radiating warmth and kindness like a golden sunbeam. Love was so overjoyed that they forgot to ask where they were headed. Once they reached solid ground, the elder waved goodbye, leaving Love bubbling with gratitude.

Turning to Knowledge, another wise elder, Love asked, “Who was that wonderful soul who helped me?” Knowledge smiled brightly, eyes twinkling with wisdom. “Ah, that was a time.” “Time?” Love echoed, curiosity dancing in their heart. “But why did Time choose to help me?”

With a warm smile, Knowledge replied, “Because only Time truly understands how precious Love is.” In that joyful moment, Love grasped the profound truth in those words, filling the air with a melody of everlasting happiness!
