
We were always dancing at night, Breathing under the lamp’s pure glow, And through the curtain, people could see The silhouettes of our show. We dipped and tapped and spun With the elegance of a swan And I didn’t realize how much it meant Until those dances were gone, For we aged as partners of a duet.
