It broke my heart to see him so alone and confused. 🐶🐶
🐶And suddenly, I managed to make his teary eyes meet mine.
🐶 I wouldn’t say I like the smell of sadness.
🐶 I wanted so badly to jump on him.🐶He spoke to me tenderly, and I knew I had to rescue him!
🐶 That human needed me.🐶
So I barked with all my might and followed him for blocks and blocks.🐶
I got closer; I could smell his hands.
🐶 The human smiled for an instant, and when he took me in his arms, I began to feel his cold heart warm.🐶
I got close to his cheeks and felt a tear roll down them.🐶
I looked deeply at him, and his response was a bright smile.
🐶 I jumped excitedly into his arms, promised to behave myself, love him forever, and never leave his side.
🐶
How lucky he was to pass through that block, down that street, and I also feel blessed.🐶🐶
So many people were walking by, and no one was looking at me.🐶
All worried, all involved in his problems.🐶
I’m glad no one else chose me!🐶
Today, I saved a life.🐶
Today, I adopted a human🐶

I love the simplicity that this poem takes to create a warm image in mind. Also, the irony of the first, third and last line is aesthetic, I’m not sure a dog heart can be broken for a stranger and in such a circumstance I think the image is the opposite, man can only adopt an helpless animal if he’s capable but an homeless dog adopted an helpless man. Beautiful poetry 👌
Smile. A long time ago, one day, when I was lost, broken in spirit, and sleeping rough, a dog did find me and kissed my heart and curdled up to sleep with me to help me stay warm. Jack, my soulmate, returned my life around 😌😌 Jack adopted me… God bless him. As my journey went on, Jack and I became dog rescuers. I have cried a million in the fur of broken animals, some dead, some alive. God works miracles in different ways for us to learn how to nurture all living creatures on earth… We all matter, Shalom 😌😌 thank you for being you 🍀🍃🌾☘️🐶
Very nice. We are forgetting humanity. A good lesson.
SHALOM 💯 God created animals to keep us company. Amen. It is our responsibility to care about their needs. They don’t have any money to buy food, medicines. That’s our role. Sometimes I write little stories to help folk understand from a different perspective. Amen 🐶🐶
