Awakening
In the twilight of my own forgotten dreams,
I roamed a labyrinth of silent screams,
Adorned in masks crafted from others’ desires,
Dancing to the rhythm of unfulfilled fires.
But then, amidst the din of my heart’s despair,
A gentle whisper beckoned, inviting me to dare.
I began to shed the heavy chains of expectation,
Breaking free from the grip of that suffocating sensation.
With resolute steps, I grounded my weary feet,
In the sacred silence, my spirit found its beat.
Colour bloomed around me like a springtime flower,
As I embraced both joy and pain, relishing their power.
Each heartbeat now echoes my own actual song,
A vibrant symphony where I finally belong.
With arms wide open, I welcome the dawn,
In the beautiful art of choosing myself, I am reborn.
