A Baptism of Renewal
From Galilee, a journey’s start,
To Jordan’s banks, a pure, open heart.
John, the baptised, questioned sight,
As Christ approached, a beacon bright.
“I need to baptise you,” John did say,
“Why do you come this humble way?”
But Jesus answered, firm and clear
“Fulfil all righteousness, my dear.”
The waters parted, the heavens unfurled,
The Spirit descended, pure and world.
A voice proclaimed, a heavenly sound,
“My Son beloved, on Him I’ve found.”
A moment of grace, a sacred sight,
Old ways relinquished, bathed in light.
A transformation, a renewal’s birth,
As Christ and John, a changed Earth.
So let us follow, with hearts aflame,
Embrace the Savior, His holy name.
Repent and cleanse a new life’s start,
Forever changed, pure and transformed heart.
