If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
None of us is better than Jesus.
We all know this to be accurate, but sometimes it helps to remember how to apply this truth.
The King of Kings took on the task of the lowliest servant when he washed the disciples’ feet.
And he calls us to be willing to do even the most menial assignments for the sake of his kingdom.
Jesus, you are Lord of all.
Yet, you took on flesh and assumed a lowly posture of servitude out of Your deep love for us.
Help me, Lord, to embrace humility even when it is unpleasant so that Your name may be glorified and your kingdom may be advanced by all that I do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏
