Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Is Jesus just a good moral teacher, or is He much more?
He is the second person of the Trinity, God in the flesh.
He alone is righteous, and He alone is set above all others.
The Father delights in the Son and has revealed Himself through the Son for the sake of His kingdom.
Lord God, we thank You that You do not remain hidden from us.
You have revealed Yourself in Jesus, and it is with joy that we receive Him.
Thank You for that sacrifice of Jesus, which cleanses us of sin and fills us with Your righteousness.
Thank You that through Jesus, we have the means to know You and enter your kingdom.
