Life can throw unexpected challenges our way—whether about relationships, finances, or our spiritual well-being. These ups and downs can feel overwhelming at times. But here’s the good news: God’s Word offers guidance to help us navigate those tough storms.
God wants more than just for us to read His Word; He wants us to embrace it and live it out. The Bible teaches us, “Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
When a storm hits, you might notice three key things: the rain pelts down, testing the roof of your life; the streams rise, threatening to flood your foundation; and the winds whip around, challenging your walls. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and out of control during these times.
So, what do you do when life throws you curveballs—a diagnosis you can’t change, a child you can’t control, or financial worries that seem insurmountable? The answer lies in putting into practice everything you’ve learned from Scripture. When you do this, your life will be anchored on the rock—the Word of God—and you won’t be shaken.
So, what is this rock? The rock represents the Word of God. The more you build your life on it, the more solid and stable you’ll become.
John 13:17 says, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (NIV). This verse reminds us that the real blessing comes from knowing the truth and living it out.
