When people criticize you for living a life that brings joy to God, remember: the reward waiting for you in heaven is absolutely incredible! The Bible beautifully assures us, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven” (Matthew 5:11-12 NIV).
God’s church is the only thing that lasts; only His family will live in heaven forever! So why waste your precious time worrying about what others think? Instead, embrace each day by using the unique gifts, talents, and abilities God has given you to worship Him and make a lasting impact in this world.
Imagine the joy and simplicity of living for an audience of One! So often, we allow the opinions of others to influence how we see ourselves. If someone thinks you’re a loser, it doesn’t define you! If someone thinks you’re odd, that’s part of your uniqueness! Why not break free from that mindset?
Today, let’s choose to live for the joy of heaven! Know that your reward in heaven will be magnificent when your only desire on Earth is to please God. Embrace the wonderful life He has planned for you, filled with joy and purpose!
