We are filled with joy when we see children sharing toys.
The only reward they see is a new friend and a fun afternoon on the playground.
They are not looking around to see who is watching; they focus only on their joyful interaction with the other child.
As Christians, we must give and do good works in the name of the Lord with a childlike heart, a genuine heart that only wants to bring joy and happiness to those we serve.
Therefore, when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and the streets, that they may have the glory of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
