Anxiety isn’t a sin.
Even Jesus battled anxiety on His way to the cross. “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” Matthew 26:38.
Anxiety isn’t a sin. It’s a signal alerting you that it’s time to pray. Going a little farther, Jesus fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will, ” Matthew 26:39.
Anxiety is a signal that it’s time to pause. “Be still, and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.
Anxiety is a signal that it’s time to praise. Worship is warfare. We don’t just praise God after a victory. We praise Him before a victory.
Anxiety is a complicated matter, and while it is wise to seek mental and emotional help, we can also seek spiritual help by taking time to pray, pause, and praise.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then, you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.” Philippians 4:6-7
