His mercy towards those who fear him is as great as the distance between heaven and earth. As heaven is high above the world, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
We can’t measure the height of the heavens. We may be able to calculate the height of the atmosphere or the distance from here to the moon or the sun. But we cannot measure how far the heavens stretch. So too, is the greatness of God’s mercy. We cannot measure how much of His mercy we need, but we can trust that He gives us more than enough from His limitless supply.
Thank You, Lord, for Your great mercy. I will never fully know the magnitude of my sin, the depths of Your love, or the weight of Your sacrifice. Yet You showered me with all of the mercy that I could ever need because You are good, and You are infinite. Thank You for such a priceless gift. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
