And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
Jesus had compassion for people who had no one to lead them, to look to, to learn from. He saw their need for Him and was moved to teach them. Have you encountered anyone who needs to teach them about Jesus? Perhaps a young believer needs someone to walk alongside them and teach them about the faith. Just as Jesus had compassion on people, so we can, too. We can help teach people about Jesus who don’t know anything or only know little about Him.
Heavenly Father, You are compassionate and good. Lord, give me compassion for those who are lost and without You. Give me grace to teach them about Your mightiness and great love. Help me to share the knowledge of You that I’ve gained. Help me to teach only the truth about You and not any false perceptions I have of You. Help me to articulate Your truth and Your word well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
