What happens when we don’t forgive? If someone wronged me ten years ago, and I still refuse to forgive them after all this time, I am essentially a prisoner of my past. It feels like a chain is binding me to that moment, preventing me from receiving the blessings of today.

We remain trapped by our past when we refuse to forgive. We can not fully embrace the present moment or accept the grace that God wants to give us because we cling to our memories of hurt.

What does it mean not to forgive? It means I am holding onto a grudge, judgment, or sometimes even hatred. This negativity poisons my spirit. My heart is not pure or free; it’s like carrying poison within me, which harms me in many ways and keeps me dependent on that unresolved past.

Conversely, when I forgive, I experience freedom. I step out of that dependence and can be wholly myself, allowing God’s grace to dwell within me. Instead of harbouring**Forgiveness**
