What Will Be the Centre of Your Life?
It’s crucial to consider what or who you choose to centre your life around. You have various options, such as your career, hobbies, or financial success. While these pursuits can be enjoyable, they often lack the lasting stability needed for a fulfilling life. You need a solid foundation that can not be removed; anything less can lead to unnecessary stress.
The strongest foundation you can have is Jesus Christ. Consider a Superball: its solid core allows it to bounce back powerfully when dropped. When your life is rooted in God, you equip yourself to recover resiliently from stress, grief, and challenges.
Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Instead of worrying, pray. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of your life.”
If you find yourself worrying, recognise it as a clear sign that something other than God may have taken the central position in your life. Relying on people or external circumstances for security is a recipe for stress, as they can be unpredictable.
Now is the time to evaluate what truly centres your life. If it’s anything other than Jesus—such as the stock market, family, or relationships—you may experience increased stress and uncertainty. However, by placing Jesus at your centre, you unlock a pathway to blessings and a more peaceful existence. Take charge of your life; the choice is yours and can lead you to a more confident and fulfilling future.
