O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
A lump of clay cannot fashion itself into a fine vase.
The potter spins the wheel, and the potter’s hands shape the clay.
When the clay resists, it cracks, crumbles, and falls.
It is only when the potter is in control that the clay can realize the beauty, strength, and purpose that the potter has envisioned from the start.
Father, have Your way with my life.
You are my maker and guide, and I submit my life to Your skilled hands.
Shape me according to Your design for me so that I may stand strong in the firing furnace and emerge revealing Your craftsmanship as You prepare me to do Your will.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
