#AceBreakingNews – Canvey Island Report: Of serious incident and disturbance involving several people, some of whom had weapons, in Link Road, Canvey, shortly before 10.50am this morning, Monday 27 February.

We’re currently responding to a report of a serious incident on #CanveyIsland.

The report included a witness describing a man who had been visibly injured: Officers were on the scene quickly, but no victim or suspects could be located.

Officers are continuing to work to identify those involved.

As a result of those enquires, there is a large policing presence on the island. 

Whilst we are keeping an open mind, we are exploring the possibility that this incident is linked to an earlier disturbance in First Avenue, which took place at about 7.30am this morning. 

There are no reports of any injuries relating to that incident. 

We need anyone with information on either incident to get in touch.

Specifically, we’d like to speak to anyone with dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage of the incidents.
