BREAKING PSNI POLICE REPORT: Dungiven security alerts: Police urge the public to be vigilant

AceBreakingNews – Police are at the scene of two security alerts in Dungiven, County Londonderry, on Sunday morning. Since Saturday night, Foreglen Road has been closed at the junction of Ballyhanedin Road and Legavallon Road at the junction of Curragh Road.

Cordons remain in place on Sunday following the closure of the roads in Dungiven

The cordons remain in place, Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Ch Insp McIldowney said:

“As we continue with our inquiries, we’re urging the public to be vigilant and ask that you avoid the area.”

Police appealed to “anyone who sees anything suspicious not to touch it or pick it up, but to call us immediately on 999”.
