” LIVES MATTER”
Daddy takes mama for a ride in The Hood,

They get a little friendly; we knew that they would.

Mama’s Baby gets a name like Papa’s:

Big, Black Joe,

But Daddy’s got no cash, so you know he’s gotta go.

Mama now has L’il Joe; he grows to six foot four,

But she is using drugs, and there is much, much more.

Joe is in a gang; he counterfeits and kills,

And Kaneesha is his girl, and they have lots of thrills.

Kanessha has a bro, he plays the pro ball game:

Open war upon the field.

The city it’s the same.

Kaneesha’s brother’s name is Phil; he beats his Baby Mama; Her name is Mary; he puts her in a coma.White medics take good Mary; she’s pregnant, D.O.A.,”Black Lives Matter,” let’s protest today.

Let’s yell at the pigs, ’til they fall on their knees,

And take away their salaries;

I’m beggin’ you please,

To listen to this poem; there’s looting all around,

But no one can hear; there’s too much sound,

Coming from the YouTube,

the TV and the street,

And everyone is criticized for every little Tweet.

And no life matters with critics everywhere,

God in The Heaven averts each stare,

From his laptop; he puts the screen away,

Lives only matter, when you start to pray,

And stop angry protests, with burning late at night,

And stop photo ops and looting when our sight,

Is averted from the discontent and hatred of each day,

But we are all focused on figuring a way,

To keep our lives the same, protesting, procreating,

On yelling and texting and every day hating,

And we can not stop, so we’ll kill each other soon,

Will dolphins survive?

There are green men on the moon,

Saying: “Green Lives Matter,” and they watch the men destroy,

The Earth and all lives, every girl, every boy,

Because no one can stay home and Tweet nice stuff out,

And go out to the parks,

holding signs all about,

Which say: “All Lives Matter,” and really mean each word,

To think that we can change our stripes is simply so absurd,

When Baby Mama’s Man has no respect for himself,

Time to stick another poem upon my dusty shelf.
