#AceDailyNews says that a woman dies in Royal Adelaide Hospital after alleged ‘serious domestic assault’, police say a 58-year-old man from Port Hughes was arrested over the incident and charged with assault causing serious harm…

She was then transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

The man appeared in court on Tuesday, denied the charges and made an application for bail.

The court heard the woman’s injuries were sustained between July 24 and 27 at the couple’s house.

Magistrate Ben Sale refused the bail application and the man was remanded to reappear in December.

Police today said the man’s charges were expected to be upgraded to murder.

Detectives from the Port Pirie Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
