#AceDailyNews says that a man was arrested over ‘fatal stabbing’ death in Sydney suburb of Marrickville and the 62-year-old was arrested following a police operation involving specialist units and negotiators after he allegedly approached the younger man and stabbed him multiple times in the torso.

“His family has been notified, he’s a local man and my condolences go to his family,” Sam Chrisafulli said, Superintendent of Inner West police command.

“It’s not what you’d expect in the middle of a suburban area at all. I want to take this opportunity to reassure this community that it is safe in Marrickville.”

The police investigation led them to a property at Denison Road in Dulwich Hill, where an operation involving the tactical operations unit and negotiators took place: They arrested the 62-year-old and took him to Royal Prince Alfred hospital for pre-existing injuries, where he remains under police guard.
