AceBreakingNews – Two 20-year-old female students have been transported to hospital, one in a critical condition and one in a stable condition, after a stabbing incident at Australian National University this afternoon.

About 2.45pm today (Monday 18 September 2023) ACT Policing and ACT Ambulance Services paramedics were called to ANU following reports of a stabbing incident.

A 34 year-old male was also assaulted and received minor injuries and did not require transportation to hospital.

A 24-year-old male, who is not believed to be a student of the university, is in police custody. He has not been charged at this time. No other people are being sought by police.

No specific motive for the incident has been identified.
