Metro's Monday paper
Plenty of fun in the Glastonbury sun was had over the weekend and the Metro carries a colourful montage of some of the acts who smashed the festival – including Rick Astley and Guns N’ Roses. Its main story reflects on Saturday’s events in Russia and the papers says it could well be a boost for Ukraine
Financial Times
Wagner’s mutiny shows real cracks in Vladimir Putin’s authority, according to the Financial Times. The paper also says a growing number of fearful Tory MPs with slim majorities are cutting back on the time spent in Westminster in a bid to shore up their prospects in their constituencies
Daily Telegraph
On the front of the Daily Telegraph the Prince of Wales says he is committed to ending homelessness as he prepares to launch a major project two years in the making. The paper says it could define his legacy as he aims to follow in the footsteps of his late mother Princess Diana
The i newspaper
The i newspaper’s bold headline touches on the uneasy quiet coming out of the Kremlin and in particular the silence of Russian president Vladimir Putin after Saturday’s mutiny. On the sidebar of the front page the paper nods to highlights from Glastonbury, including images of Cat Stevens, Blondie, Guns N’ Roses and Lizzo
The Guardian
The front page of the Guardian reflects on a weekend of turmoil in Russia following Wagner’s uprising and what the rebellion means for Vladimir Putin’s leadership. Yevgeny Prigozhin is pictured shaking hands after his deal which will see him move to Belarus. The paper also carries a huge review of the Glastonbury Festival
Daily Star
The main picture on the Daily Star shows a golden Sir Elton John taking in the plaudits from a packed Glastonbury during his farewell UK gig at the Festival. The main story is a warning from the RSPCA about snakes becoming more active during the hot weather

Monday’s front pages are once again dominated by the fallout from the unrest in Russia. News that the Duchess of York has undergone a successful operation to treat breast cancer following a routine check-up also makes headlines, as does Sir Elton John’s epic Glastonbury performance.

The Financial Times says the weekend’s events have “laid bare the cracks” in President Vladimir Putin’s authority, while while the i notes the silence from the Kremlin since the mutiny.

President Putin could “lash out” according to the front page of the Daily Mail which speculates Russia’s leader could go for “Stalin-style” purge of his enemies.

Foreign Office diplomats have been told to prepare for the fall of President Putin and more unrest in Russia, the Times reports.

The Metro says there are “treasons to be cheerful” as Ukraine makes progress on the battlefield in the wake of the mutiny.

Sir Elton John at Glastonbury
Sir Elton John gives a golden goodbye performance at Glastonbury with a spectacular final UK gig which included a touching birthday tribute to his late friend George Michael.

Elsewhere, a number of the papers carry pictures of the Duchess of York, following her diagnosis with breast cancer with the Daily Express noting the operation was a success and she was discharged over the weekend.

Her cancer shock leads the Sun as the paper quotes a friend of Sarah Ferguson praising the staff at King Edward VII’s Hospital in Marylebone, central London.

The Daily Mirror says Sarah Ferguson is recovering back home in Windsor, Berkshire, with family including ex-husband Prince Andrew.

The Daily Telegrah covers the Prince of Wales’s vow to make ending homelessness his “life’s work” ahead of a big project launch which has been two years in the making for Prince William.

Finally, the Daily Star touches on Sir Elton John headlining Glastonbury, but the tabloid focuses on the show being the singer’s last as it says “Rock it man’s farewell” in the top corner of the paper.
